Safety Week – Road safety with bikes and scooters

Today Maple Class took part in some road safety activities using their bikes and scooters.
First we discussed the importance of using helmets to keep ourselves safe and then talked about traffic lights and what we should do when we reach them.
The children were then challenged to go around a track, but they had to listen and be aware of traffic lights and wardens on their way round.
It was brilliant to see the children listening to the instructions given by the wardens ‘Stop and Go’ as well as keeping an eye on the traffic lights to see what they had to do.

Have a look at the fun we had :).

Halloween – Pumpkin Fun!

It was a very spooky afternoon today in Maple Class as the children dipped into some Halloween fun!  The children emptied the innards of the pumpkins using their hands and spoons, collecting what they found.  Al lot of the children were disgusted by the pulp as they touched and smelt it!  They then designed the face for their pumpkin ready to be displayed throughout the week.  Have a look at the fun we had :)!
